Last night, my group went on our first Act 1 outing: the Cardinal's Plight.Encounter 1 started well for the heroes, but Merrick managed to raise 4 zombies and escape. Then we went into encounter 2. There was the master zombie by the door and four additional raised zombies. On the first turn, the heroes managed to mow through the open group in the first room, but on my turn, as Overlord, I played Frenzy and using Belthir's Dual Training plot, I got +1 damage for all of the Zombies. After all attacked (once each, except for the frenzied one) and the cardinal defended (with his two gray dice), exactly 16 damage had been done, apparently killing the cardinal.
1) Are the zombies allowed to activate before that door opens?
2) Did we do this correctly? It feels a little broken.
