I had the base D2E game all packed into its box, including a single Plano 3600 which nicely held all the small cards plus tokens and player minis. Monster minis and tiles in the rest of the box, everything was great.I finally decided to crack open the three expansion boxes I had and play with them. Okay, so far so good.
But now I've got four boxes, and most of them are full of air. I thought I was pretty good at organization, so I tried to get them all into the base box plus the labyrinth of ruin box, thinking I could get rid of the two small mostly-empty expansion boxes.
Well, now we have more cards. So maybe I need some ultra pro deck boxes for those. And the expansions really did give me a ton more tokens. So maybe I need another Plano 3600 in here.
Man there are a lot of tiles. And you really want them sorted, so you can set up the maps faster.
In the end, the planos and deck boxes took up so much space that they filled the base game box. That meant that I ended up putting all the minis in the labyrinth of ruin box, all the base game tiles in the x1 box, and all the expansion tiles in the x2 box.
It does all fit in the box, but now I have to open all four boxes to play the game... so I think I made it worse. The only consolation is that I could probably fit another entire expansion in here without needing a fifth box, if I ever get one.
