I am almost ready to purchase this game, not sure which edition but due to
content availability and future is so much bright for the 2nd edition it seems like is the way to go. I have to ask some content questions please:
1. Are there any Orcs & skeletons in the 2nd edition or the expansions ?
I have seen Goblins and Zombie`s. (I am sure i can call the monster pieces anything I want but just for the sake of realm of Descent/Runebound I was hoping skeletons and Orcs are a must as the case is in Runebound and Runewars).
2. I do understand it is the Heros vs the overlord. Is there a over all champion among the Hero`s with regards to one session consisting more than one hero to determine the champion of the participants ?
3. Are there any Neutral figures in the game of Descent ? the neutral pieces can act as not alliance with any side but they get in the way for both sides (overlord and the hero`s).
I have always enjoyed Dungeon games with skeletons and Orcs and the race between the hero`s to the end not only to defeat the overlord but who will capture the most Gold, most kill, most number of objectives.
Is this game for me or should I continue searching for another game
perhaps Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game ?
I appreciate any advice to perhaps guide me to the path towards that perfect dungeon game.
