We're currently playing the Labyrinth of Ruin campaign with all current expansions included, as well as the 1st edition conversion kit with all the monsters and heroes.The first scenario, "ruinous whispers" was a narrow win for the overlord. None of us have read all of the scenarios, and we're "playing it blind" on purpose so that both sides get surprises and has to adapt to whatever scenario comes next. As the winner i chose "honor among thieves" and while preparing for the weeks session I noticed it featured Merick Farrow. I went and got his lieutenant pack and implemented it into the campaign.
Unfortunately, after one scenario using the plot deck the players feel that it will be too good and favours the overlord too much.
The heroes are;
Elder Mok as a Prophet
Lord Hawthorne as a knight
Steelhorns as a beastmaster
Roganna the shade as stalker.
What do you guys think? Is the plot deck mechanic balanced (in the sense that it doesnt skew the game too much and mostly gives options and new mechanics), too good for the OL (skews the game too much in his favour), or just not really worth the bother (too much extra rules for no real use)?
