Thread: Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition):: General:: The Ultimate Storage Solution for Miniatures

by sabbione

After trying various storage solutions going from hand-made foam covered boxes to not-so-cheap multi compartment boxes bought in the brico stores, none of which I was quite happy for, I decided to take one step forward and get something damn serious!!!!

I ordered a KR Triple Aluminium Case with 3-4 different kinds of foam trays. It does not come cheap but I must say that is very well spent money - shh don't tell my wife though Image may be NSFW.

gulp

I could fit my complete 2nd edition collection plus all the 1st edition minis I own (I am missing Tomb of Ice only).
Finally I could enjoy the game much more often as I am able to move to my mates place more easily instead of hosting the games all the times or carrying 10-12 different sized boxes with me.

I hence thought to share my excitement about this solution with you folks Image may be NSFW.

That is the KR Aluminium case. Nice and Neat.

First level: heroes and small monsters

Second level: Lieutenants, villagers, guards and slightly bigger/deeper monsters

Third Level: Big monsters/Lieutenants and medium monsters.

Fourth and Last Level: More Big Monsters and Huge Monsters.

Next step will be to get some foam-core boards and build box inserts for cards, tokens and other game items.
For the map tiles I found another very good solution already Image may be NSFW.
