Might well ask on the FFG forums too but here we go.

I've played both 1st ed Road to Legend and 2nd ed and much prefer some aspects of 1st ed, as do others in the groups I play with BUT for various reasons 2nd ed has come back up on my radar for purchase and campaign play.

A few questions and worries I have for those in the know!

1. OL play. Now, this is definitely not a 2nd ed. bashing post here but the OL play in 1st ed was much more my own preference. Question is therefore, how much/what do the expansions out and planned add to the (in my humble opinion) limited OL options in the base 2nd ed set? - I read about Servants, Relics? and the Lieutenants and their plot cards so far? Do these go some way to making the OL a little more than cards and monsters?

2. Overly prescriptive and race-like scenarios. I like a fair chunk of 'bash' in my dungeon bash/crawl and the group I played 2nd ed with all felt the scenarios were a lot less engaging and dare I say it, fun than those of the 1st. Are there more 'sea of monsters' scenarios in any of the expansions as well as kinda tactical A to B ones or 'protect the villagers'?

3. Overland travel. This was one of the big things I felt was lost in translation from 1st to 2nd ed; are there any more options being/been introduced for boards and maps and some good overland travel options. I really enjoyed the feel of board to dungeon play and the lieutenant overland mechanic etc.

Hmmm this reads a bit like a 2nd ed bash post but I promise you it's meant with honest intentions and not as a poke at 2nd ed, hell! I'm considering buying it!

Thanks in advance.
