OK, I'm torn over what to get the boys for Christmas.....both look very interes. They are 9 and 11 and have experience with Pathfinder Adventure Card game, Dreadball, Munchkin, and others.I already ordered the Decent 2 Base set, but then saw that "Shadows of Brimstone" is out. I have another home for Descent 2 if I change my mind.
So the question is....which would work well for Christmas.
1) Generally I play with the boys but they have a number of friends that drop in and out of their games. One is fairly regular. I have reservations that dropping players in and out of games is disrupting in Descent, but not as much in SOB.
2) Cost wise it'll end up about the same initially Descent + a couple of add ons or both SOB base games.
3) I might get the base of both, but that limits the options of both for play.
Opinions welcome!!
