I've read page after page, post after post about this game and I'm pretty sure it's something I could get into. There are a couple of problems, though. One is to do with the difference between first and second editions - which is better? Why? Do all expansions work for either edition? - and the other is the vast amount of content out there. Obviously I'd need the base game (but we're back to v1 or v2 again), but is that enough to keep me going for a while? Is there something 'essential' (in inverted commas) that I should get to go along with the base game?
Also, I know it's not a solo game, but I mostly play alone. I'm happy to take both sides, but is there any sort of solo variant that works?
