Thread: Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition):: General:: Would this game be worth purchasing if only played as a pure co-operative?

Hello Descent community,

I have a quick question as a perspective purchaser. My wife and I are looking to scratch the proverbial dungeon crawl itch, but it's just the two of us and we only play purely cooperative games.

I know that Descent has several small expansions that transform the game into a pure cooperative, so to speak (AI Dungeon Master), but I was curious: would buying the base game plus its cooperative expansions ($70-80 starting investment) be worthwhile?

We will probably never play with another person as a Dungeon Master, so I'm skeptical if this would be worthwhile investment in our situation.
