Well darn it I've just found out that the Shadow Rune has been completely cut and replaced with the Heirs of Blood campaign, which is supposed to be a complete overhaul for the better.I really wished the store clerks had informed me of this change. Then again it's also none other than my own fault for not having first picked up all the latest details from FFG's website and poked around the forums in order to find the news necessary to make such an inquiry. Having said that, as far as I know the stores' general policies would not be to order new reprints as long as there are items of the game for sale, reprint or no. That means I would probably have to wait for quite some time until all of the earlier reprint sold out before newer ones are purchased.
So what are my options then here? We've already spent around 80€ for this game; overall buying the new Questbook would seem a bit overpriced since it's 25€, amounting to actually more than a quarter of the game. This also actually means that we'd be paying over a 100 Euros to get precisely the same someone else is getting for a lot less.
Just to be clear I am in no way criticizing FFG; actually I might not even be criticizing the store 'cause I should've obviously informed myself prior to purchase, though the situation would've still been pretty much the same if I wanted to have the game. FFG seems to have rather brilliant customer support; I just wish that they give some sort of a discount for those of us who have bought the game as of late, in order to acquire the new campaign (+a couple of quest logs and an updated rulebook?). I may be only dreaming here but I think that this dream's pretty legitimate and would further affirm their good position of customer support.
Additionally, should I be aware of some other revisions? Are there any errata or perhaps some minor changes?
