I have always wanted to buy the base game for Descent 2nd ed. and play with my GF`s but i have always walked away in the last minute due to being intimidated by all the 42 expansions as listed here on BGG. we like the terrinoth setting/universe. Can you confirm if the heroes of Descentand Dungeon Overlords are basically from one of the six factions currently in other games ?
1. The Daqan Lords
2. Latari Elves
3. Waiqar the Undying
4. Uthuk`yllan
5. Dwarves of Dunwarr
6. Orcs of Broken Plains
or these heroes/overlords have no faction background ?
Also if we do end up getting into this can we use these Heroes for the game Runebound (Third Edition) the new edition ?
my only other fear is to start get into this game and invest and then watch the publisher put out Descent third edition ! Do you think that is a possibility ? Runebound has now seen 3 editions and each edition seems to be better than the other but in the middle of these decisions by the publisher so many fans spent their money and money does not grow in plant
(something like that, i heard of this term from GF)
