Hi Everyone,

I have been playing around with some tile storage ideas for my Descent collection but this could easily be used for Imperial assault, Doom or any other dungeon Crawler with heaps of tiles.

Its so easy it took me about 15 min to complete the for the base Descent game, very low cost and everything you can get from your local Target, K mart or Office supply store.

The items used for tile storage are:
1x A4 Document carry case.
2x Clear A4 Book protection Sleeves
1x Super Glue
1x Business Car Wallet

The Black book in the picture I used is Business card wallet, this works excellently for holding all the small pieces

How to make the Tile folder

1. Check your Document holder. See how many pages your folder can hold, in this example the Document holder can hold 14 pages with tiles in it before it is full. This is enough for the full set of tiles in the Descent base game.

2. Plan your lay out. I recommend in numerical order to easily locate the tiles. you can fit more in if you arrange them all over the place but you will not be able to locate the tile as easily.

3. Gluing the sleeve. The reason I chose to use A4 book protection sleeves was due to there durability and thickness and the reaction it has with the super glue. Normal A4 plastic selves tare easily and I found not to work very well.

Place your Sleeve on a flat surface with the flaps facing up.

Place a tile under one of flaps of the Sleeve and push it hard against the top or bottom edge.

Put your hand on the tile and place pressure so it does not move and lift the flap, about 1cm away from the tile run a bead of super glue from as close to the bottom of the flap as you can to the edge where the flap ends.

Remove the tile and let the flap back down, you don't need to press to much or at all as the superglue will react with the plastic making it melt and bond together. If you find the the tile is to loose for your liking your can add more super glue like I have in the below picture.

And there you have it. just repeat the steps for all your tiles and leave it to dry for about half hour and a sleeve should look something like this.

When your all done your set will look something like this, now you can find your tiles quickly and easy.

How to use the Business cad wallet

This was just a great find, I use this to keep track of all the little extra bit tiles like the Start and end location, extension tiles, end tiles, doors, bushes, etc. It also is perfect size for all the cards to such as monster cards if you wish to use it to hold them as shown above.

Simple easy and cheap.

Thanks for reading, if you find this useful let me know as I have other decent storage ideas for tokens, heroes and everything.

Cheers Stu.
