I've brought this up before but playing this recent quest has me thinking about monster placement again. In particular I'm talking about placing monsters that are ignoring group limits. Are we placing masters or minions? Before you answer, consider the following...
1. I went into a room and it said to place <monster> in the following spaces ignoring group limits. The red circles showed me where to place masters and the white circles showed me where to place minions.
2. Later in the quest it would have say to place another type of <monster> on a space ignoring group limits. The circle is white but it doesn't say masters or minions, only to place one of that monster type.
3. The Rule book says to always place masters whenever possible but I'm thinking this is when we are adhering to group limits. If there is room for the master in the group limit than always place the masters first. When ignoring group limits this doesn't make sense because you'll keep placing masters until you run out and then start with the minions. And as I mentioned in #1, the app clearly displayed red circles for masters and white for minions.
In previous discussions I was told to always place masters if the app doesn't say master or minion but I think this is wrong. Based on what I typed above, I'm thinking when the app says to place 1 <monster> on a space ignoring group limits that I should always correspond master or minion based on the color of the circle.
Thoughts anyone would like to add?
