I have the choice of acquiring either the first or second printing of this game. I will be playing this almost strictly with my family, and I want the first impression to be nothing short of excellent.It is my understanding that the first printing quest guide has a decent introductory scenario. I have seen praise for it several times. I am familiar with the complaints against the campaign overall, but that is of no concern. I am actually leaning toward this campaign in general.
However, I have never seen any mention of an introductory scenario for the second printing with Heirs of Blood. This campaign was designed as an add-on to the base game, so I would not expect it to have any sort of learning scenario. Does it have one? From what I’ve read on reddit, the game simply instructs you to start with the first encounter in the campaign, which seems odd, since this campaign was intended to be used by veterans. Does it do a good job of easing the players into the game?
