In 2009 I got Runebound 2nd Edition gifted to me and enthusiastically painted its heroes. The enthusiasm for the game didn't outlast two play sessions unfortunately. Something about downtime. They were the last minis I painted after having decided that I was done with Warhammer for good. In 2013 I got Descent 2nd edition having heard good things about it. This year I finally found a group to play it with alongside the motivation to slap some colors on the minis. Sorastro's excellent YouTube mini painting series did its part as well. After splashing on new colors and brushes, I'm ready to paint more minis.

I will post my minis as I go along. CC welcome and I hope more people find motivation to turn their bendy plasticy game tokens into something nice to look at!

Started out with the goblins to warm up. Not my proudest minis, but the sculpts aren't exactly lookers either. Minuscule, poorly defined details and I'd rather have had goblin faces than absolutely generic, boring, horned helmets. The individual mini took longer than anticipated, due to the small size and lacking detail definition. But they've got color now and are ready to poke some heroes, which is what counts!
