Does anyone feel like this kind of ended up hurting the game? I'm at the point where there's really no point in playing a character as their archetype, because you're just leaving skills on the table. I find the 3XP pretty expendable for most classes (only one that comes to mind is Skirmisher's Carve a Path being pretty integral) so that draw back isn't really one at all.

At least in the first CtR hybrids, I felt like they were more in-line because you COULD make a Mage a Warrior class, but your frontliner was going to have 8-10 HP. But hybridizing Healers/Mages or Warriors/Scouts has much more cohesiveness than the CtR setups (perhaps that's why they didn't bother in CtR originally).

The worst part is that it's now tougher to sell the fantasy with all the best-in-class characters for each class being of a different archetype.

How do you guys feel about all of it?
