Hello and Welcome to the Yo Mamma Plays Descent 2.0 thread.Here we welcome all you Young and Spry Descent players who have anything remotely critical to say, at all, whatsoever, about the game. Never mind that you might find the game overall enjoyable and/or rate it highly or make a sound argument; that’s not in the least important. I hope this thread might serve as a Port of Origin for you as you navigate the heated, tumultuous terrain of the Descent Forum. Whether your destination be the Review, General, or (may the gods help you) Rules section, we here at Yo Mamma plays Descent 2.0 will always happily receive you back.
Now, a word of caution before you proceed:
Lurking in these threads is a rabid species of Descent 2.0 lovers (Descentius howdareyous) who might, at not a moment’s notice, jump out of the digital thicket and be on you like stink on a turd. You quite conceivably might be called upon to defend your pitiful, worthless, undeserving post.
As your all loving, all understanding, all feeling, all sensing Mahadusti Whitish Yogi, might I suggest some recommendations for you as you transverse this wonderful, pugnacious forum?
Whenever saying anything in a thread, be sure to riddle your post with high praise before getting into anything in the slightest negative. It’s probably a good idea to reduce the size of the text for negative comments. The “sandwhich” method of feedback is useful; high praise, with some meat of critique, followed by the top bun of high praise. This is absolutely no guarantee that Descentius howdareyous will not show up. If you run into a Descentius howdareyous, you will have a natural instinct to retaliate with a verbal grenade. If this is your style, well, go for it, but please realize that this species is very persistent and will be sure to throw the last volley, and I want the best for you. I advise prayer and reflection, myself, before returning to the thread. Now I don’t do this, but if there is something particularly negative you have to say, go start up a new user account, come back and have at it. If you’re feeling real nasty, say something like “the rules are obscure in certain situations”. Run, come back to your normal account, and when everyone jumps on you, join in bashing too, and everyone will love you.So, Bon voyage! If at any time you need a respite from getting massacred out there, you just come back to us here at Yo Mamma Plays Descent 2.0. Tell us all the terrible, spiteful nonsense you posted and how the world is plain crazy. We know.
