As anyone who has ever purchaded a FFG game before can attest, they make great board games but their skill in making good storage boxes for them is not equally great. The storage for Descent 2e is unfortunetely no exception, so bad in fact that I threw away the insert as soon as I opened the box. Inspired by pictures I've seen of custom storage solutions for Mansion of Madness here on BGG (http://boardgamegeek.com/image/1188812/mansions-of-madness?s...), I decided to try to make my own storage solution.I've never tried to make anything using foam board before, but after reading a little bit on the internet (http://oinksterrain.blogspot.se/2011/12/working-with-foamboa...) and a trip to a local store that sells foam board, I started to create my own storage solution. You can see the results in the images below.
I store all the miniatures in the small compartment, the big ones are in the bottom and the smaller ones are in zipbags on top. All the terrain tiles are in the bottom of the large compartment, with card next to them and everything else on top. I'm happy with the results, hopefully the miniatures won't take as much damage when traveling with the box now since the compartment they're doesn't allow them to move around too much.
I know most of you haven't gotten your copies of the game yet, but please share your custom storage solutions when you do!
