Hi guys,

Inspired by Chris Tibs who provided a great tool to describe statistics for Arkham Horror (see here), I created a survey linked to an Excel page for Descent (2nd ed.).

Please find and complete the survey here :

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1fU94KrbWpyf9V0TBTzdg_X0nlt-...

And the results here :

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0As-eDqFDeL5BdEp...

The main point here is that, in addition to descriptive data, I provide statistical conclusions about the balance of each scenario, based on rigorous mathematical calculation.

For those who have some knowledge in statistics, I use a binomial bilateral test, with .50 as a thoeretical probability of success, and p = .05 as a significance limit (precisely : .025 for th "heroes side" and .025 for the "overlord side").

For those who are not familiar with statistics, the test takes into account the winning rate and the number of games played. For instance, a winning rate of 60% is not considered as proving a lack of balance on 10 trails (it may be a matter of luck), but it is on 150 trials (it is to regular to be assessed as random).

I hope many of us will take part in the survey, because the clarity of results depends on the number of participants.

For any question or mistake report about the survey, please feel free to ask

(I hope everything is clear, for English is not my native language)
