Does this play like an RPG-lite game? e.g.
* how do the level ups work?
* do all players get the same # of level ups after each quest?
* in a campaign, how many level ups would you expect to get?
* how many armor / weapons are heroes able to have?
* do wizard / cleric chars get access to new/cooler spells with levels?
* how varied are the magic spells that heroes have access to?
I play Runebound with my sons, and we LOVE that game, and what I'm looking for next is something along the lines of a bigger board, longer campaigns, more involved level ups, and deeper character dev.
The idea of 2 and 3-hour sessions that add up to a huge campaign with modular pieces that assemble together to make different scenarios sounds like the right start! Now wondering about the development and customization of characters Descent offers.
