Similar to what I did for Battlelore 2nd Edition I did for Descent Second Edition, I reused the original inlay and made two boxes out of it. That one is here:
Battlelore Second Edition - Storage Solution

Made the one for Descent that same week. The intent for Descent 2nd ed was to store everything related to each respective box inside that box (i.e. main box, small box expansions, big box expansions). Expansion boxes are the same as below base box. Have left the "heroes and monster" boxes as is for now as these come in plastic boxes, but would be good if I could get my hands on another base box to store those in (so if anyone is not using theirs I'd be happy to get a hold of it).

Fitted all associated Lieutenant packs and the first two Game Night Kits into the main box. Was able to fit the following in the base box:
*) Base game
*) Two Game Night Kits: Forgotten Souls (2014 Spring Game Night kit), Nature's Ire (2014 Fall Game Night kit),
*) Six base box Lieutenant packs: Splig, Zachareth, Merick Farrow, Eliza Farrow, Alric Farrow, Belthir
*) Extra set of dice.
All cards are sleeved with FFG sleeves (except hero cards as I haven't been able to find a matching sleeve size for those).
The Heirs of blood I keep separate outside the box, it doesn't fit, and that also applies to anything additional for the base box that will also need to move to another box.

The two boxes made from the insert are different in size:

Also made two smaller boxes to hold cards and part of the smaller components. These two fit exactly in the middle row.

Reused the original inlay. Reused it also because it is illustrated and by reusing it, it allowed to preserve it as part of the box. Cut the two sides, inverted them, removed the flaps (boxes look sharper without these flaps and leaving the flaps requires you to rebend corners), and taped the corners with paper tape. The middle piece I left in the middle as it is part of the picture. Maybe in the future I will cover the outside of the boxes with colour paper, but for now this looks good for me.

Used a lineal, sharp knife, and paper tape.

For the other storage solutions I made see my geeklist:
