Watching the FFG Trailer for the Road to Legend App, I notice at the 0:15 second mark this image.
I've added three red arrows to the image to highlight the point.
This is only speculation at this point but this might be an indication that when using the App, Heroes and Monster Groups alternate their turns (instead of the usual Heroes Turn / Overlords Turn).
Each of the Heroes and each Monster group can have a green tick mark placed against its icon it seems. The image shows that two of the four Heroes has a green tick and the Flesh Moulder has a green tick. The image also shows that the Barghests are currently taking their turn.
This might suggest that the turn order went...
Avric Albright
Flesh Moulders
Grisban the Thirsty
Barghests (currently taking their turn)
Jain Fairwood and Leoric the Book have yet to take their turns.
Given the App doesn't make use of the existing campaigns or encounters, I don't see an issue with alternate activations (because the Quests within the app would have been designed for alternating activations).
Interesting if it turns out to be the case, time will tell I guess.
