So, my group is coming to the end of our first 1 v Many Campaign. Although I bought a more modern version of the game, we decided to play a 100% base game version of "The Shadow Rune." To get used to the base mechanics and gameplay before introducing any expansion elements.

- Leoric - Necromancer
- Syndrael - Knight
- Tomble - Theif
- Avric - Spiritspeaker

We all enjoyed the campaign, going into the final quest "Gryvorn Unleashed" The heroes are up 5 quest victories to the Overlords 3 Quest victories.

We are all looking forward to seeing what the expansions bring to the table. I have since completed the entire collection of Descent, all boxed expansions, all hero and monster collections and all Lieutenants.

I know many of you are going to suggest "Shadows of Nerekhall" as the next campaign to play as it is widely considered the best and most immersive campaign of the series. But I'm concerned going from one of the worst campaigns (Shadow Rune) to the best (Nerekhall) is going to set a weird precedent for the other expansions.

I was considering Heirs of Blood initially. But I feel now is a time for some villain variety and we should revisit the Farrow Family later and explore some other realms.

I thought a good compromise would be Labyrinth of Ruin, as it has some good Villains, Monsters and thought-out campaign. But many comments I have read say this campaign is overrated and belongs at the bottom along with Shadow Rune.

So, what do you all think? What should be our groups next campaign play-though?
