Normally, when I get a new game, I try to jump right in and start painting the models. In the case of this game, I am really glad I read the rulebook before I got too far in.

It was only while reading the rulebook I realized there are two types of Mobs - the Master and the Minion type of each. They need to look different to tell them apart.

Now I have sort of a problem - I want to paint them, yet I need to keep them looking different enough so they can easily be differentiated. I was thinking of painting all the like models the same, but keeping the Red and Off-white base colors so players can tell them apart?

Has anybody else done this? If so, do you have any problems distinguishing the Masters and Minions apart even when the board is crowded with monsters and only the bases are different colors?

Thank you!
