Yikes. Have you ever hit your self in the head so many times,
that you need to hit your self again, just to keep the feeling going?

Well thats what I did tonight.

I skimmed the rules a few weeks ago and decided to invite a gamer friend over.

This friend o mine is a mathematician and usually beats me at every game I play with him. We spent the first few hours playing D2.

We played tatiana and laughin buldar, vs the first quest.

I overlorded. Unfortunately I didnt read the setup correctly in that I started the quest with 4 orcs rather than 2+1 as written on the bottom of the group card. In any case I, the illustrious overlord was trashed in 3 rounds, Missing every single orc to hit roll, ending up in the players destroying all the orcs, and the etin in the following 3 rounds. Well that's not completely true, 2 of the orcs got off the board.

we switch places and I let the mathwiz play the overlord and he pretty much kicked my butt for the rest of the afternoon... over and over and over, lordddy lord

We took each took 2 heroes. I got into the game pretty deeply. Each time we played the overlord came closer to biting it. I'm pretty convinced given the infinite number of dice rolls by an infinite number of monkeys I would have eventually beat the guy.

This game is not for the faint of heart. Its a tough nut. I suppose I earned enough XP's from the first scenario to carry into the second with a success.

Ill keep you posted.
