So the game arrived on Friday night and I've been really excited about introducing it to my regular game playing partners, my wife and my daughter (5). I've read the rules through a couple of times and set up 'First Blood' read the spiel out loud and chucked us into it.I think my daughter enjoyed herself well enough, my wife frowned a lot and I tried my hardest (as OL) to push them, while, tbh, letting them win.
I now have a horrible feeling I might be including this in the next maths trade
. A lot of the stuff that I think we were all excited about, didn't seem to happen? No treasure, no exploring, tight play area (too tight?) everyone stood toe to toe, rolling the same dice each timeI couldn't move Mauler anywhere to drag the heroes about to maybe liven stuff up.
Did I miss something?? Is this the wrong dungeon trawl for us? Is First Blood not a good quest to start on and will it get better?
