So here's how things have been going.

We're playing with 4 heroes
Grisban The Thirsty - Knight
Syndrael - Berserker
Leoric Of The Book - Necro
Ashrian - Spirit Speaker

As the Over Lord, I've focused my deck in Warlord

First Blood was a win for the Heroes As was
The Fat Goblin and
Death On the Wing we then played the
Gold Digger rumour quest from the LOTW expansion, which the heroes also won.

The final act I quest was The
Cardinals Plight, which I finally won.

This led us to...
The Shadow Vault Interlude which I won. I then picked
The Ritual Of Shadows and most recently,
The Desecrated Tomb and I won both.

We now have one more Act II quest; probably The Twin Idols and must play the At The Forge LOTW quest before continuing to the finale quest The Man Who Would Be King!

The Cardinals Plight was clearly weighted in my favor; the interlude was a closer thing though and the heroes misplayed it in a number of ways. They didn't bother relaying the casket for one and they kept defeating the OL only to have him re-spawn in a better position etc.

Winning the Interlude has allowed me to carefully pick my next quest and it's been going well. The Ritual Of Shadows was quite easy and in the last one, The Desecrated Tomb I managed to win the first part making the second part an almost sure thing.

Now my pesky heroes are becoming a little sore and their recent spree of loses has given way to the suggestion that by picking two warrior classes they've got a broken team. They want to swap out a hero (probably Thirsty the Knight) for one of the other classes (probably Tomble the Thief).

Now if they have a broken team I have no problem with that at all; we were all new to the game and there was no frame of reference or anything to suggest that some team builds were massively inferior to others.

What I worry about though, is that this is just some second act jitters on their part and by swapping a character out for another, crafted perfectly by hindsight, that this will unfairly swing the balance too far in the other direction.

I'd concede that there were balancing issues with The Cardinals Plight and The Ritual Of Shadowsbut the Interlude could have been won by them (which would have led to a different Act II quest than The Ritual Of Shadows)and the last quest, The Desecrate Tomb seemed bleak, but they were unlucky with dice and probably killed more Zombies than they should have (allowing me to better position them when they came out on my next turn). Not to mention the fact they've been neglecting to search thoroughly since the last Act I quest.

In short, as it stands it's 3 to them and 4 to me (not including First Blood) had they played the Interlude better though, It could easily be going to them in a massive way.

From my perspective it feels like I've just pulled into the lead, but there's a feeling from them that it's fairly hopeless moving forward; that my beasties are too strong and they're too ill equipped to deal with the quests.

I want a balanced game and don't think they should suffer for having made possibly poor and uninformed decisions in picking their team at the beginning. On the other hand it's not entirely fair to overwrite tactical blunders in later quests by switching in a new hero with equal XP, seems too much.

What do you think? Do they have a broken team? What have other people done in this situation?

If they have a broken team then I'm fine with a complete switch. If their team is decent enough (and I suspect it is from the trouble I had in Act I and the things they could have done in the interlude) then I'm still happy to accommodate a character swap if they're truly unhappy, but I don't think it should be without penalty... Perhaps a reduction in available XP?

Any advice?

Thanks!
