I have been looking at these threads here for days and have tried several strategies mentioned here, but I am just straight up getting beat by my players in a 2 hero game. The two players' heroes are Lindel and Nanok. I really feel like Lindel is super overpowered, especially in a 2 hero game.
I won the first quest after the intro, a fat goblin, but the heroes got a crossbow in that and Lindel bought the skill that lets him move 2 each time he uses stamina to move. Since then Lindel alone has been beating me. He has one shot killed a lieutenant with his heroic feat and the crossbow. He rarely ever fails a skill check.
(on a side note, my rolls have been pretty shitty, but I still feel like I don't stand a chance half the time. Lindel will do so much damage and with pierce that rolling defense is pointless)
So I guess my question is 1: am I just loosing because Lindel is too strong with the crossbow? Or are there things I can do to limit him?
2: why do people think the OL is favored in 2 hero set up? this is our second attempt at a campaign, I was getting crushed by the interlude in the first, but did realize we did some things wrong and so restarted.
In death on a wing second encounter, if the heroes won encounter 1, they can just run up and kill the lieutenant and win before I can even get a turn, how is this balanced? in 2 hero setup you only get 1 elemental and so can't block their path.
and lastly I was curious if some OL's had some good strategies for playing with 2 heroes.
Thanks guys
