Hello everyone! I decided to take a huge leap forward and start painting some board game miniatures. My girlfriend and my friends persistently persuaded me to paint those awesome figures from this awesome game and I finally yielded.I'm not sure why, but I'm not a fan of painting figures from board games. Well, they were designed to have specific colours and to be easily discernible and stuff. So why spoil them with paintjobs (of unknown quality

Here are my first miniatures - the goblins. After long deliberations, I decided to paint all models of a given kind in the same manner and mark the master monsters with a red base rim. I hope that will be enough for game purposes and we won't have problems with telling which monster is which.

Now, this is the base layer of paint. I'm excited about using quick shade, but that will have to wait till tomorrow. On a side note, this is my first time painting something else than black (Templars) Space Marines. I thought my Wh40K painting experience will prove more useful. Unfortunately, I've been wrong. I guess, that's due to my lack of practice with painting, well, colours. And maybe the plastic used for Descent figures. Don't know... But I just have to say this: Quick Shade... WORK MAGIC! I dare you

BTW: Is this the right sub-forum for such a thread?
